Most of our Tri-Cities work is on newer construction, and Burke Mountain in particular throws up two things repeatedly: driveways that climb hard from the street, and lots wide enough that owners want a single gate span no sensible fabricator would build in one leaf. Both are solvable, but not with off-the-shelf parts.
Steep driveways
On a rising approach, a swing gate hits the concrete before it opens. The answers are a slide gate, a leaf hung with rising-butt hinges, or regrading the first metre of driveway — and which one is right depends on measurements we take on site, not on a photo.
Long spans
Past about 4.5 metres a single leaf needs a deeper frame, heavier posts and hardware rated well above residential. We size the section for the span rather than the look, then hide the extra depth in the profile. Bi-parting leaves are often the cheaper and better-behaved answer.

What We Get Called For in the Tri-Cities
Coquitlam and the Tri-Cities are where a lot of newer multi-family development has landed, which produces a particular pattern of work: complete site packages on new buildings, and then — a few years later — the first round of retrofits when a bike room turns out to be undersized or a waste area can’t take an added stream, which is where a replacement enclosure comes in.
