These terms apply to orders placed through trussmetal.com. Please read them, together with our Made-to-Order, Returns and Cancellation Policy, before you order. Together they form the agreement between you and TrussMetal for a website order.

How an order is formed

Placing an order through the website is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed when we accept your order and confirm it by email. We may decline an order, for example where a product cannot be made as configured, and in that case any payment taken is returned to you.

Products

All products sold on this website are fabricated to order in the size, finish and quantity you select at checkout. Product pages set out the description and specification of each item. Steel Display Pedestals are an indoor product, made from cold-rolled mild steel, powder-coated in the finish you select, in the square top size and height you select.

We do not state a load capacity, an outdoor or weather rating, or a corrosion rating for website products, and none should be inferred. If your application depends on any of these, contact us before ordering and we will quote the work properly.

Prices, taxes and currency

All prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclude tax. GST at 5% is calculated and shown as a separate line at checkout. The order total shown at checkout, including GST, is the amount payable. Freight and delivery are not included and are quoted separately.

Volume pricing, where offered, is applied automatically at checkout based on the total quantity in your cart and is shown before you pay.

Payment

Payments are processed by Helcim. You may pay by credit card or by bank transfer (EFT). TrussMetal does not store your card or bank account credentials.

Helcim may apply a convenience fee to credit card payments. The amount depends on the card used and is calculated and shown to you by Helcim before you confirm payment. Bank (EFT) payments do not carry that fee. Bank payments are not settled immediately, and an order paid by EFT is held until funds are confirmed.

Supply date and collection

We will have your order ready for collection within 20 business days of cleared payment. Where payment is made by bank transfer, that period runs from the date funds are confirmed as settled. If we expect to exceed this, we will contact you before the period ends.

Local pickup from our North Vancouver shop is the standard arrangement for website orders. We will let you know when your order is ready.

Changes, cancellation, returns and refunds

Because all products are made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, and cancellation is generally not available once production or material procurement has begun. The full terms, including how we handle incorrect, damaged or defective items, are set out in our Made-to-Order, Returns and Cancellation Policy.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Where you buy as a consumer, British Columbia law implies conditions into a retail sale that cannot be contracted out of. Some of those protections apply differently, or do not apply, where goods are bought by a corporation, for resale, or primarily for business purposes.
