Off-the-shelf brackets stop at standard sizes and standard loads. When a shelf is longer, a counter heavier, a timber beam bigger, or a piece of equipment awkward to mount, you need a bracket made for the job. We make them from a sketch, a drawing or the broken part you want replaced, in steel, stainless or aluminum, raw or finished.

Shelf and Floating Shelf Supports
Heavy shelves, long shelves and floating shelves are where retail brackets give up. We make rod-and-plate floating shelf brackets sized to the shelf depth and the wall framing, L-brackets and knife brackets for open shelving, and continuous steel angles for long runs that can’t be allowed to sag. Counter and Desk Supports
Concealed brackets for stone overhangs, floating desks and bar tops, sized to the top’s weight and depth. Where a counter needs a full frame, legs or a substrate, that’s covered on countertop support frames.
Beam, Post and Timber Brackets
Post bases, beam hangers, knife plates and decorative timber connectors for pergolas, decks, canopies and exposed-beam interiors, in blackened steel, powder coat or galvanized.
Structural connections: where a bracket carries a structural load — a beam, a deck, a canopy — the connection has to be designed by the project’s engineer or designer. We fabricate to the drawings and details they supply. We don’t engineer structural connections ourselves.
Equipment and Mounting Brackets
Brackets and frames to mount equipment, signs, lights, screens and fixtures to walls, ceilings, posts and existing steel. For ground and wall stands for heat pumps and condensers, see equipment screens and stands.
Plates, Angles and Small Parts
Base plates, gusset plates, spacers, tabs, straps, clips and replacement parts, cut and drilled to your dimensions. If you have the old part, bring it in and we’ll match it. For work that needs forming, see metal bending.
One-Offs and Small Batches
A single bracket is fine. So are twenty. Batches for carpenters, millworkers and contractors are priced per piece and made to one set of dimensions, so the last one matches the first.
Materials and Finishes
- Mild steel — flat bar, plate, angle, rod and tube. The default for most brackets.
- Stainless steel — 304 for interiors and 316 for exterior and coastal locations.
- Aluminum — where weight or corrosion matters more than stiffness.
- Finishes — raw, primed, powder coat, blackened steel, or hot-dip galvanized for outdoor work. See metal finishes.
Non-Structural and Structural Work
Most brackets are non-structural custom fabrication: shelves, counters, desks, fixtures and mounting. We size those from experience and tell you what they’re good for. Anything that forms part of a building’s structure or carries a life-safety load is built to an engineer’s or designer’s detail, and we’ll ask for that drawing before we quote.

- Quantity, material and finish.
- Whether you need it installed or supplied only.
Lead time depends on quantity and finish. Powder coating and galvanizing are done after fabrication and add time, and we’ll confirm the date with your quote.
Questions We Get Asked
Can you make just one bracket?
Yes. One-offs are normal for us. A single bracket costs more per piece than a batch because the setup is the same, and we’ll tell you the price before we start.
Can you copy a bracket I already have?
Yes. Bring the original in or send clear photos with dimensions, and we’ll match it or improve it where it failed.
Can you install the brackets?
Yes, for most jobs in Metro Vancouver. Or we supply them for your carpenter or contractor to fit.
Do you design structural connections?
No. For structural connections we fabricate to the drawings and details supplied by the project’s engineer or designer.
What finish should I choose?
Powder coat for colour and durability indoors and out, blackened steel for a darker natural look indoors, galvanizing for outdoor steel that needs to last with minimal maintenance.
